Our unannounced R&D project is looking for an experienced quality professional to lead performance and compatibility efforts across a wide array of target hardware. As a QA Engineer III you will work closely with performance and engine technology engineers to set performance targets, tracking adherence to these goals by implementing production-ready processes. Guided by Riot’s Test Policies and the product’s test strategy, you will ensure the execution of quality activities at every stage of the software development lifecycle. You will work with other Quality Leads to arrive at more efficient solutions to everyday problems, while improving delivery and the overall quality of the product. You will report into the QA Manager for the Core Gameplay initiative.

- Create, manage, and operate the test plan(s) for the team.
- Manage and evaluate testing efficiency and effectiveness within your team.
- Apply established test strategies and processes to your team’s operations.
- Improve on methods of test execution at the team level.
- Work within engine development tools to assess and give feedback on content and features as they’re being created.
- Collaborate with different disciplines in order to understand their work and incorporate it into decisions that improve quality.
- Guide and monitor all testing done for the team.
- Provide tasking to and collaborate with external testing vendors.
- Identify, analyze, and escalate risks to your team and your Area Quality Lead.
- Analyze and report on the product’s quality status to the team’s product lead.
- Work with the Area Quality Lead to hold the team accountable to meeting quality standards.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of professional embedded Quality Assurance experience
- Experience designing and executing test plans
- Experience managing components of a defect database
- Experience tasking remote testers and providing feedback on effectiveness
- Experience working on a product development team
- Experience creating custom reports on test coverage, defect data, and risk
- Experience using creative problem solving to improve processes
- Experience testing performance and hardware compatibility
- Working understanding of PC and console hardware specifications
Desired Qualifications:
- Development experience across several platforms; mobile, console, and PC
- Preferred Licenses/certifications:
- ISTQB Foundation Level
- ISTQB Agile Tester or ICAgile Agile Testing (ICP-TST)
- ISTQB Expert Level
- ISTQB Advanced Test Manager
- ICAgile Test Expert (ICE-AT)
