Operations Coordinator - Esports Event Technology (12 Month Contract)

The Operations Coordinator is a contractor role working with the Riot Games Esports Event Technology team. In this role you will support operational workflows that enable our global technology teams to succeed. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, technical environment. You will work closely with engineers, vendors, and internal teams to track projects, drive procurement processes, and ensure tight follow-through on logistical and purchasing efforts.

The role spans two core areas: (1) managing circuit procurement communications with our global telco partners to ensure reliable venue connectivity for our international esports events, and (2) supporting our internal purchasing processes by coordinating and processing quotes, contracts, and invoices with our legal, finance, and vendor management teams.

Success in this role means being dependable, communicative, and efficient, someone who can keep parallel threads organized, follow up proactively, and help ensure our technical teams are able to deliver world-class events and projects on schedule and within budget.

This is a 12 month contract and will be based fully onsite in the Riot Games Remote Broadcast Center, Swords, Dublin

Key Responsibilities

  • Support circuit procurement process with telco vendors worldwide, including publishing RFPs, quoting, committing, tracking, and delivery of venue connectivity.
  • Maintain project schedules and timelines for circuit installs, supporting busy engineers with updates, escalations, and follow-ups.
  • Assist with internal purchasing workflows, ensuring accurate quote submissions and timely processing through internal systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors and Riot’s legal and finance teams to ensure timely execution of contracts and invoice processing.
  • Track purchase requests, delivery statuses, and forecast spend across multiple overlapping projects.
  • Keep detailed tracking documentation up to date across Airtable, Jira, and other internal tools.
  • Proactively flag blockers, delays, or risk areas, and help ensure resolution by following through with the right stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong documentation and handoff practices to improve repeatability.
  • Identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks in circuit procurement or purchasing processes.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in operations, project coordination, purchasing, or vendor management in a technical, engineering, or production support environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple simultaneous threads of work.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors and cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, finance, legal).
  • Excellent communication, follow-up, and interpersonal skills, especially when working with busy and distributed technical teams.
  • Proficiency in tracking tools such as Airtable, Jira, Google Sheets, and similar platforms.
