- Partner with the Publishing Lead to determine what investments are required to execute content and ecosystem strategies with organizational design, internal Riot and external to Riot partnerships
- Build and lead a matrixed team of player communications, community, influencer, social, and content planners across the game ecosystem/experience to ensure we have a clear player journey, clear takeaways, and clear narrative for players month over month and day to day
- Act as “editor in chief” leading up to launch and beyond for the day to day player experience: Drive alignment with the vision of the holistic player experience across game, sport, entertainment, community content, and any other relevant player touchpoints with the broader product experiences
- Partner with Publishing Lead and Brand Lead to build a holistic, curated, ecosystem calendar and ensure product and brand goals are met in day to day narrative.
- Work in partnership with Esports leaders to determine the role of competitive play within the player community and align a matrixed team around cascading outcomes
- Build a “player comms/community” newsroom in preparation for live-service to ensure monthly/daily/hourly connectivity with our audiences
- Ensure all content shipped to players falls within a defined player experience as defined by the game’s leadership team
- Inform ongoing product and brand planning by representing the player community landscape
- Define strategic opportunity spaces for dev-to-player communications and to create content or highlight community content
- Maintain open communication and visibility with the product team and publishing team on what matters most for players, including daily/weekly monthly/quarterly reporting on community sentiment
- Help the game leadership team understand “The Why” behind player sentiment along with solutions to address any risks
- Stay deeply connected to the game’s player and community/ies to ensure our matrixed teams are communicating and reacting to what matters most for any given moment
