We’re looking for a seasoned Director of Content Production to lead the production discipline for VALORANT, our global tactical shooter. In this role, you will oversee a team of experienced Producers responsible for delivering high-impact creative content—including gameplay trailers, animated shorts, live-action videos, and brand assets—designed to excite, inform, and engage our global player base.

As a senior leader, you’ll partner closely with the VALORANT Publishing team to shape the creative and production strategy and ensure flawless execution across a diverse portfolio of content initiatives. You will be responsible for setting the vision and operational excellence of the Content Production team, mentoring leaders, and scaling our production capabilities to meet the evolving needs of our players and partners. You will report directly to the VP of Marketing and serve as a key member of the Publishing leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Development:
    Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Producers, fostering a culture of excellence, ownership, and collaboration. Build a resilient production team that can scale with VALORANT’s growing creative needs.
  • Strategic Planning & Goal Setting:
    Define and drive annual and quarterly OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) for the Content Production team. Align production priorities with publishing goals and broader Riot strategies to ensure maximum player impact.
  • Production Oversight & Execution:
    Oversee the execution of all content production pipelines—from pre-visualization to post-production—across a variety of formats, including CG, gameplay, live-action, and motion design. Ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Serve as the production liaison between brand, creative, localization, and external vendors. Facilitate seamless communication, streamline feedback loops, and ensure creative integrity throughout the production lifecycle.
  • Operational Excellence:
    Optimize workflows, tools, and systems to improve production efficiency and scalability. Ensure your team is equipped with the right resources, tools, and data to drive excellence at every stage of production.
  • Vendor & Partner Management:
    Build and maintain strong relationships with creative agencies, production studios, and freelance partners around the world. Vet vendors, manage contracts, and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of content.

Required Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in content production, project management, or creative operations within marketing, games, entertainment, or digital media
  • 4+ years of experience in senior leadership roles managing high-performing production teams
  • Deep expertise in leading complex, multi-format creative campaigns from concept through final delivery
  • Proven ability to drive clarity, energize teams, and deliver results that support global brand goals
  • Track record of building scalable systems and defining measurable KPIs for creative production teams
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to align cross-disciplinary teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and guide executive-level conversations
  • Proficiency in industry-standard production tools, asset management systems, and collaboration platforms
  • Expertise in calendar and resource planning, budget management, and cross-functional scheduling

Desired Qualifications:

  • A deep appreciation for compelling content and the creative process, with a hands-on approach to ideation and execution
  • Familiarity with CG animation, VFX, or live-action production pipelines
  • Understanding of game marketing and/or game development production workflows
  • 10+ years of experience working across global and cross-functional teams
  • Experience in managing external vendors, production bids, purchasing systems, and contract negotiations
  • Ability to shape creative feedback and iterate with diverse creative disciplines
