The Warehouse Supervisor plans, organizes and monitors the receiving, storage and distribution of equipment, supplies and products ensuring a smooth and consistent operations.

This position will serve our Water Divisions, located in Montgomery, AL.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Oversee warehouse schedules, budgets, and project deliverables.
• Provide direct supervision over warehouse staff. Provide performance feedback, coaching and mentoring.
• Accomplish warehouse objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures.
• Responsible for monitoring, and managing policies and processes as it pertains to material movement throughout the manufacturing organization.
• Responsible for moving inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouse; coordinating inventory transfers with related departments.
• Responsible for maintaining and controlling inventory accuracy to ensure optimum levels while continuing to improve line fills on orders for the manufacturing organization.
• Work closely with Operations, Materials, Customer Service, and freight carriers to ensure that customer needs are met.
• Identify, recommend and implement process improvements.

Qualifications:

WHAT YOU NEED

• Associate's Degree in Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma

• 4-7 years of experience in warehouse operations

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.

• Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment.

• Strong analytical and reasoning skills.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information and inventory reports.

• Advanced mathematical skills including the ability to calculate discounts and percentages.

• Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.

• Experience with lean manufacturing-JIT, Kaizen, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping.

• Knowledge of ERP and Warehouse Management Systems.



HOW TO STAND OUT
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field
  • Less then 2 years providing work direction to others
