The Sr. Manager IT will lead a team of engineers who will be responsible and accountable for the development and support of the digital product(s) and services. He/she will work closely with IT director of Digital Products, IT PMO, Product owners, and others in IT to provide quality digital solutions to meet business needs. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for a moderate set of products and/or services with some complexity. This role may manage other managers.
He/she will drive business outcomes through expertise in management as well as through strong relationships, sideways management, and cross functional influence. The Sr. Manager will create an environment that empowers the team to deliver at a high level of impact by building, organising, and motivating well-balanced, diverse teams with a strong sense of belonging.
Contributions may be made in other areas as needed.
Key Performance Indicators
- Product delivery metrics - (velocity, code coverage, code stability, vulnerability, actual security incident, defects, etc.)
- Service level performance metrics - (reliability, availability, maintainability, etc.)
- Problem resolution & RCA
- Colleague satisfaction, retention and engagement
- Departmental KPI's
- Meet CapEx/ OpEx utilization target
- Develop and maintain digital product roadmap (at least 1 year out)
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage digital product teams with medium to large size (at least 2 or more tech stacks with more complexity), consisting of direct reports (includes managers), indirect reports, and third-party service providers (where applicable).
- Think and articulate strategy over long time horizons. Think broadly and cross-functionally about areas outside of teams/org's primary responsibilities.
- Manages cross-functional relationships required to execute product strategies and creates and maintains a plan that enables managers to lead their teams effectively.
- Work closely with the Director of Digital Products, product owners, business partners, IT PMO, Solution Architects, and other stakeholders (QA, operation, etc.) to deliver quality digital products to meet business and operational needs
- Define and evolve clear success metrics for the engineering team
- Independently plan and execute work across multiple projects, stakeholders, and teams
- Guide the teams to impactful results that are align to and progress strategic goals
- Make informed decisions by consulting the right stakeholders and balancing details with the big picture
- Think and articulate strategy over long time horizons. Think broadly and cross-functionally about areas outside of teams'/org's primary responsibility
- Ensure team is staffed appropriately and set up for success
- Guide and grow team members
- Set goals and objectives at the right altitude and hold the team accountable to them
- Attract, hire, and retain a diverse and talented team with a broad range of experiences and strengths

CANDIDATE SUMMARY
Required Experience
- Ten (10) years' experience developing engineering solutions or leading teams involved with engineering, app support.
- Four (4) years leading a software delivery team
- Strong knowledge of software development tools (specific to appropriate areas)

BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar technical field or equivalent experience. master's degree is a plus.
Base Pay Range $135,700 - $176,400 / year
While starting pay falls within the given range, it can vary based on factors like geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may also be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment (where applicable).
