Overview
We are in search of a proactive and analytical Senior Competitive Strategy Pricing Manager to lead the monitoring, analysis, and interpretation of the competitive landscape for our residential and commercial pest control business. This role is crucial for providing the foundational intelligence that underpins our pricing strategies and overall market approach. The successful candidate will be adept at identifying and assessing competitive threats and opportunities, and translating this intelligence into actionable recommendations for the Senior Director of Pricing Strategy and other key stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance. This position requires a blend of strategic foresight, analytical rigor, and cross-functional collaboration.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a comprehensive competitive intelligence program for our B2C and B2B pest control services.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of competitors' pricing, product offerings, promotional activities, and market positioning to identify strategic opportunities and risks.
- Provide timely and relevant competitive insights to support the development and execution of the company's pricing strategy.
- Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to inform the design of pricing for new products, packaging, and promotional initiatives based on competitive analysis.
- Partner with Pricing, Sales and Marketing to develop competitive response strategies and effective sales enablement tools.
- Partner with other internal teams to monitor and analyze market trends, customer perceptions, and competitor activities to provide a holistic view of the competitive environment.
- Establish and maintain a centralized repository of competitive intelligence for key stakeholders.
- Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Education
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required. An advanced degree (MBA or MS) is a plus.
Experience
- 7+ years of experience in pricing, competitive intelligence, market research, strategy, or a related analytical field, with at least 3 years in a role with strategic responsibilities.
- Experience in a recurring revenue business is highly desirable; experience in pest control, home services, or a similar subscription-based industry is a strong advantage.
- Proven success in providing actionable insights that have influenced business and pricing strategies.
- Experience working collaboratively in a matrixed organization is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with proficiency in market research tools, Excel, and business intelligence platforms.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear and concise insights.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Base Pay Range $112,200 - 145,900 / year
While starting pay falls within the given range, it can vary based on factors like geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may also be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment (where applicable).
