Job Summary

The Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating Scrum ceremonies and ensuring that the development team is fully supported during product feature delivery and product maintenance. This role involves coaching development team members, removing obstacles, and helping to maximize team productivity. The Scrum Master acts as a servant leader, helping to foster a collaborative and efficient working environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies:

• Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring meetings are productive and time-boxed.

• Support and Coaching:

• Coach the Scrum team in agile practices and the Scrum framework.

• Remove Impediments:

• Identify and address any obstacles that may hinder the team's progress.

• Work with the team and stakeholders to resolve issues and remove impediments efficiently.

• Manage Backlogs:

• Assist the Product Owner in maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog. • Ensure that the backlog items are well-defined and ready for the team to work on.

• Facilitate Communication:

• Act as a liaison between the Scrum team and external stakeholders.

• Ensure that communication is clear and effective across the team and with stakeholders.

• Promote Continuous Improvement:

• Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

• Help the team to reflect on their processes and find ways to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Reporting and Metrics:

• Track and report on key performance indicators and metrics related to team performance.

• Provide insights and recommendations based on metrics and team feedback.

Experience and Qualifications

• 2+ years as a Scrum Master or in a similar role (w/ Bachelor's degree)

• 4+ years as a Scrum Master or in a similar role(w/out Bachelor's degree)

• Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and other Scrum/Agile/Project Management tools

• Preferred Salesforce experience

• Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

• Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a collaborative environment.

• Adaptability: Comfortable with change and able to adjust to evolving project needs.

• Empathy: Understanding and addressing the needs and concerns of team members.

• Integrity: Demonstrating ethical behavior and honesty in all interactions.

Formal Education and Training

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

• Scrum Master Certification(s) preferred
