Job Summary
Uses fundamental engineering concepts, practices, and procedures to analyze operational data/methods, identify performance improvement opportunities, and/or implement technology systems that meet business objectives. Responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems, applications, and networks. Ensure that all IT systems are running efficiently and effectively. Stays up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the IT industry and make recommendations for their adoption where appropriate. Manages cross-functional relationships required to execute product strategies and creates and maintains a plan that enables managers to lead their teams effectively.
Key Performance Indicators
- System Uptime: Ensure systems are available and performing as expected.
- System Performance: Ensure the speed and responsiveness of systems meet business requirements.
- Innovation: Identify and implement new technologies and trends that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of systems.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees the development, implementation and maintenance of IT systems, applications and networks
- Collaborates with managers to create product plans that enable managers to lead their teams effectively
- Manages cross-functional relationships required to execute product strategies
- Participates on cross functional company project teams responsible for implementing technology.
- Implements and supports all company technology standards to ensure reliable operations.
- Investigates anomalies/outages and determines steps to reproduce, root cause, and solutions options.
- Applies technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques to design products and systems.
- Researches new technologies and/or monitors and evaluates existing technology for improvement opportunities to support technology life cycle.
- Researches, analyzes, and effectively consolidates technical or engineering related information and presents for management review.
- Monitors environment performance and provides all necessary reporting analysis.
- Leads and contributes to project design and test reviews.
- Attends relevant conferences/seminars to remain current on new and upcoming technology.
CANDIDATE SUMMARY
Required Experience
- Technical Expertise: Experience in implementing and maintaining complex IT systems is required. Experience in multiple technical areas such as infrastructure, software development, security, and cloud technologies are also preferred.
- Leadership Experience: Experience providing technical leadership and mentorship to less senior engineers is required.
- Project Management Experience: Experience in working on technical projects from inception to completion is required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, are required.
- Vendor Experience: Experience in working with IT vendors and service providers is preferred. Prepares accurate statements of work and financial justification analysis.
- Budget Management Experience: Experience in assisting in the management of IT budgets to ensure that projects and initiatives are delivered within budget constraints is preferred.
- Industry Certifications: Relevant industry certifications are also preferred.

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications and or additional experience may be be substituted.
- 5-10 year's experience in relevant technology functions.
Base Pay Range $100,000- $145,900 / year
While starting pay falls within the given range, it can vary based on factors like geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may also be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment (where applicable).
