Summary:
- The Production Planning Manager is responsible for creating organizational and customer value through the areas of people, process and technology. The manager is responsible for functional accountability within Supply Planning.
- Key accountabilities include Production and Material Planning, FG availability, Aged Inventory. As a Production Planning Manager it is expected results are achieved through building the capability of their teams, collaborating with key internal and external business partners while also adopting best practices to strive for operational excellence.
Essential Functions:
- Team capability:
- Lead a team of Production Planners and Analysts
- Build individual development through transparent development plans
- Build team capability through hiring and sharing of talent
- Key accountabilities:
- Production Planning key metric reports
- Production Planner escalation support
- Production attainment
- Adherence to Production and Transfer plan
- Supply Chain contact for Top20 account
- Aged inventory reporting and risk reduction through days of supply and rundown processes
- Production Optimization through balanced planning parameters and DOS
- Operations accountability and relationships with escalation as necessary
- Will have responsibility for planning a line/plant
- Deliver results for all key metrics: Fill rate, aged inventory, DOS, safety stock, OEE
- Develop collaborative working relationships with supply chain functions, operations, procurement, Supply Chain Finance, Commercialization and customers
- Best practice development of key business process
- Integration of new business and technology
- Supports special projects and other assigned duties as required
Leadership Responsibilities:
Manager
- Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination.
- Provides training, direction and instruction and conducts performance evaluations.
- Provides guidance and training on work standards and expected outcomes.
- Accountable for planning and evaluating performance, staff training and development, recruitment and may contribute to pay recommendations.

- Demonstrated technical proficiency for supply chain tools such as SAP APO, GIB or similar systems; APICS Certification a plus
- Ability to work collaborate and effectively communicate with key business partners
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain preferred.
- Three (5) years of supply chain experience;
- SAP experience, a plus
Working Conditions:
- Physical Demands– Continuously sitting for prolonged periods, as the job is administrative in nature.
- Visual/Sensory – This position requires attention to detail, requiring attention with one or two senses at a time.
- Work environment – Work and environment fasted paced, requiring ability to remain focused under pressure.
- Mental Stress – There is pronounced pressure from deadlines, project management, accuracy or similar demands.
Travel Requirements
- 25% travel. Position will be home or plant based.

Pay Range: $95k - $115k, plus eligibility for performance-based bonuses based on company objectives.
Cell Phone Allowance: $63.50/month
