The Staff Accountant is responsible for the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and other general accounting activities. The Staff Accountant will report to the Senior Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties
§   Focus on accounts receivable including the month-end close process, reconciliations, and related reporting and disclosures
§   Responsible for billing customers as well as reviewing sales orders, purchase orders, and invoices for accuracy
§   Process customer cash receipts
§   Responsible for sales tax compliance
§   Manage collections and follow-up on past due balances with customers
§   Assist in month-end closing, including journal entries and reconciliations
§   Review Accounts Receivable balances and ensure bad debt reserves and write offs are accurate and recorded appropriately
§   Review credit memos and ensure appropriate support and documentation is provided
§   Perform new customer review/credit checks prior to customer intake
§   Calculate and complete adjustments royalty payments
§   Assist the team in automating manual processes, driving efficiencies and improvement in timely reporting
§   Support special projects, as needed
§   Support and assist internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules and others
§   Assist with the day-to-day accounting activities where needed
§   Support quarterly and annual audit

Requirements:
§  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
§  Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
§  Must be able to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis
§  Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data
§  Solid written, verbal communication and collaborative skills
§  Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office products
§  Strong organizational skills
§  Ability to work cross-functionally across several departments
§  Detail oriented
