The Production Operator for the second shift is a critical manufacturing role that ensures the safe and efficient operation of the automation line inside a cleanroom environment. Hours are 6:00am to 4:30 pm EST on 1st shift and 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM EST on 2nd shift. Should be willing to work overtime.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Run the Automation Line on a daily basis.
Completing set-up and teardown operation on complex automation equipment that includes robotics, conveyors, and liquid lines as per established procedures
Routine maintenance, minor repairs, and troubleshooting
Works safely according to company and OSHA guidelines.
Utilize HMI to make machine adjustments.
Monitor and react to multiple simultaneous machine sub-operations
Supporting new equipment installation and validation
Documentation of production runs
Assistance with development/construction/debug of new equipment
Other tasks as necessary to keep our equipment operating as efficiently as possible
Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC, vision systems, and other automated control systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems, overhaul production machinery, and build experimental systems.
Provides troubleshooting support for manufacturing equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot motor/drive controller issues.
Analyze and correct equipment malfunctions by troubleshooting, replacing defective parts, adjusting, and repairing, including all required verifications and documentation.
Analyze and correct process defects by inspecting or testing components, inspecting equipment, adjusting process parameters, valves, switches, controllers, etc. as necessary to achieve acceptable parts.
Analyze automation malfunctions by checking against troubleshooting procedures, work instructions, and specifications.
Troubleshoot and maintain custom electromechanical equipment, automated work cells, vision systems and multi axis robotics.
Troubleshoot robotic programs to ensure operational efficiencies of operating equipment for production.
Review and analyze PLC programs to aid in troubleshooting complex systems.
Initiate and complete technical activities leading to improved production processes.
Cross-train other technical staff as needed on specialty robotic workstations.
Provide technical assistance to others as needed.
Perform other duties as required.
Follow cleanroom protocols for hygiene, gowning, & PPE
Work collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to work overtime, alternate shifts or different work schedule as required by business needs.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Once trained, performs cleanroom testing of automation equipment and enforces a sterile environment
Work collaboratively with Engineering to investigate failures.
An active member of continuous improvement efforts.

PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Associates degree, vocational tech training or relevant work experience (3+ years)
Knowledge/Experience (Nice to have):
Cleanroom experience (ISO 8).
Knowledge of robotic systems
Working knowledge of EH&S, cGMP, and ISO guidelines.
Familiarity with FDA regulations is a plus.

Proven skills (must have):
Technical background either through schooling or work experience in manufacturing, robotics, or related field
+1 years of relative work experience on an automation line
Self-starter with the ability to accomplish tasks without supervision
Must work well with others across many disciplines
Ability to prioritize workload proactively and expeditiously
Highly motivated
Good problem-solving skills.
Good mechanical aptitude and skills.
