The Sr. Manager Product Marketing is a new role for Rakuten Rewards Marketing. This person will be collaborating with our Product teams to bring product enhancements to life on our platform and throughout our marketing campaigns. You will be part of the Engagement/Lifecycle marketing team and work cross-functionally with Product, Creative, Consumer Insights, Email & Marketing Operations teams to execute transactional and promotional marketing campaigns.

About You:

You are passionate about using data to drive insights and build strategies that solve business problems. You are a critical thinker with the curiosity and willingness to experiment and validate through testing. You love jumping into data to catch trends, analyze for insights, and ultimately draw insights that inform how we shape our platform. You have a solid understanding and experience with audience segmentation, outlining customer journeys and omnichannel activation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development: Own product marketing strategy from creative brief to implementation across channels (email, push, in-app, site, etc).
  • Market Analysis: Maintain and share market research to understand emerging trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences in consumer technology.
  • Content Creation: Collaborate with creative teams to develop engaging marketing assets for product launches/enhancements where necessary to communicate with members.
  • Data Support: Work closely with marketing analytics and data teams to measure performance, tests and track ongoing funnel trends. Ensure product teams and data engineering are providing data and eventing information to our marketing systems (CDP, ESP) in a consumable format.
  • Feedback Loop: Collaborate with the Marketing Consumer Insights team to execute in-market research to gain insights into marketing messaging that resonates with consumers and our members and improves understanding of our product.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally from planning to development of product enhancements. Ensure alignment with brand messaging and cross-communication and market needs are met. planned product enhancements and how they impact marketing acquisition and engagement efforts.
  • Influence and Lead on Behalf of the Member: Influence product teams by bringing Marketing POV and ensuring that the complete member experience is being thought through, from top of funnel marketing, through product experience, to final reward.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior, retail and e-commerce business, and KPIs required.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Effective at prioritizing and executing tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in consumer technology or retail sectors.

At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the base compensation for this role to be within the range shown below. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.

USD $99,306.00 - $171,612.00 annually
