Job Summary:

Are you passionate about leveraging analytics to make competitive business decisions? Join our dynamic team and play an integral role in our business intelligence discipline, where your insights empower our sales and product teams. As a Business Analyst, you will transform raw data into actionable intelligence and succinctly communicate your findings to stakeholders. Dive into a challenging yet rewarding environment focused on providing merchant-level insights that drive strategic decisions and enhance merchant adoption on our platform.

In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with our product, engineering, and sales teams as you translate complex data into strategic recommendations. Your analyses and insights ensure our sales group efficiently acquires and retains merchant partners. Additionally, your analyses enhance the development of internal products tailored to merchants, while identifying new retail partners intended to propel consumer adoption on our platform. This client-facing position requires engagement with members across teams, making your role instrumental in shaping the future of our strategic analytic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recommend and implement strategies that showcase platform value to merchants.
  • Engage with internal and external clients to understand their data needs and refine requests accordingly.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to design and conduct experiments for hypothesis testing.
  • Communicate performance trends and analyses to key partners across the organization.
  • Monitor daily business performance through the creation of standard & ad hoc reporting and analyses.
  • Develop Tableau visualizations using SQL to provide insights.
  • Collect, analyze, and evaluate data to understand macro business trends and influence business strategy.
  • Ensure the quality of data available through Snowflake and Tableau.
  • Identify areas of opportunity through insights and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive action.

Qualifications:

  • Strong storytelling skills and ability to make complex datasets accessible to any audience.
  • Client-facing experience and comfort interacting with senior levels of an organization.
  • Proficient in extracting data from large datasets using SQL.
  • Experience working with visualization tools Tableau or Lookr.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies.
  • Enthusiasm for working with data, measuring performance, and making decisions based on quantitative and deductive reasoning.
  • Self-starter with adaptability to a dynamic working environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2+ years of professional experience as a business analyst, preferably in the retail or e-commerce industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Math, Economics, Statistics, or Engineering.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information succinctly to senior management.
