Job Summary:

Rakuten.com seeks a Digital Merchandising & Strategy Associate to join our growing Digital Strategy team to drive category and vertical development across our platform. This person will develop, brief and execute campaigns that meet both Member (B2C) and Merchant (B2B) needs. The role will report into the Sr. Manager, Digital Merchandising & Strategy and act as a business partner between our sales, creative, marketing, technology and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop vertical-focused marketing campaigns that increase awareness, drive member conversion, as well as drive media revenue.
  • Provide insights and proposals by analyzing marketing and member data and monitoring relevant market conditions.
  • Understand our merchants needs and create campaigns that align with their goals.
  • Make strategic and tactical recommendations that ladder up to larger business objectives
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to continuously optimize the member experience across all shopping channels, while also recapping the performance of events.
  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships with creative strategy, marketing, site operations, engineering and sales.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3-5 years experience in digital marketing or site merchandising/management
  • Familiarity in web standards across all platforms (web, mweb, app)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent writing, speaking and presentation skills

At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the base compensation for this role to be within the range shown below. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.

USD $62,856.00 - $107,136.00 annually
