Senior Maintenance Technician

Overview
The Sr. Maintenance Technician oversees daily maintenance and facility operations, ensuring equipment and building systems remain safe and reliable. The role includes leading and supporting technicians, coordinating contractors, managing critical spare‑parts inventory, and handling advanced troubleshooting. The Sr. Maintenance Technician is expected to work proactively, communicate clearly, and maintain high performance with minimal supervision while guiding others through daily tasks and priorities.
Responsibilities
- Follow Safety Policies — Ensures compliance with Rain Bird Safety Standards, including Lockout/Tagout, and reinforces safety expectations across the team.
- Increase Equipment Uptime — Leads efforts to improve equipment reliability and coordinates maintenance priorities.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance — Ensures PM tasks are completed on schedule for both facility and production equipment.
- Troubleshoot Mechanical/Electrical Issues — Provides advanced troubleshooting and guides technicians through safe, timely repairs.
- Daily Facility Walkthroughs — Conducts daily inspections to verify proper operation of building systems and equipment.
- Inspect and Troubleshoot Facility Systems — Performs inspections and resolves issues involving conveyors, plumbing, and other facility‑related systems to maintain safe and reliable operation.
- Maintain Facility Conditions — Ensures 5S, safety, and housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the building.
- Coordinate Contractors and vendors — Oversees contractor activities, ensures safety compliance, and issues work permits and Coordinates with external vendors for parts, services, and repairs; validates quotes and scopes of work.
- Communicate Effectively — Communicates issues, improvements, and facility needs with internal customers and supervision.
- Review and Update Work Orders — Reviews and updates corrective work orders in MaintainX
- Partner With Operations — Works closely with Operations to resolve equipment issues and align priorities.
- Train Technical Personnel — Provides training, coaching, and support to technicians and operators.
- Ensure Maintenance Standards — Ensures maintenance work meets standards for quality, efficiency, and schedule adherence.
- Complete Required Documentation — Ensures all paperwork and digital records are completed accurately and on time.
- Manage Critical Spare Parts Inventory — Maintains inventory of essential spare parts to minimize downtime and ensure equipment readiness.
- Facilities Project Management — Obtains bids, validates proposals, reviews scopes of work, and manages timelines for facility‑related projects.
- Maintaining Hazardous material— Keeps hazardous material storage areas organized and compliant.
- Ensure Building Readiness — Maintains the building in a clean, and orderly.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Industrial Maintenance Experience — Minimum 7 years mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Computer Skills — Ability to research parts, equipment, and technical information.
- Strong Work Ethic
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Ability to Complete Tasks Timely
