Field Service Engineer - Golf

Overview

This person will be responsible for providing technical on-site service and support for Rain Bird Golf customers. The successful candidate will be able to provide hands on technical support, as required, to troubleshoot and repair irrigation components or systems, (including central control software, valves, rotors, controllers, sensors, pumps, and other products) sold by Rain Bird.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical and mechanical support to troubleshoot and repair golf course irrigation components including central control software.
• Work effectively with all personnel at the golf course (irrigation tech, superintendent, GM, management company).
• Effectively process customer support requests documenting the necessary information for reporting, analysis and action.
• Provide timely and accurate follow-up on assigned work for both internal and external customers.
• Prepare and conduct training for distributors and customers on technical troubleshooting, and system operations.
• Provide accurate verbal and written customer experiences to internal stakeholders.
• Maintain excellent records of all issues handled; able to track, report, close and follow-up on all

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong computer skills, communication skills, and interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of basic business principles.
• Ability to travel, including overnight out-of-state travel.
• Solid knowledge of concepts uses and practices, of golf irrigation systems (or similar software-controlled systems).

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in engineering
• Hands on golf course irrigation operating experience, or golf course
• Golf central control programming
