Associate Director of Finance and Accounting

Overview
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Accounting, the Associate Director will be a senior leader within the Finance and Accounting team. This position is responsible for and leads a team that ensures financial statements for Rain Bird Subsidiary companies are prepared according to appropriate accounting standards. A key aspect of this role is to ensure accurate financial information is available to cross functional business partners in a timely manner to assist in Company decision making.
Responsibilities
- Ensures that international subsidiaries’ policies, procedures and systems meet legal and business requirements
- Financial analysis and reporting requirements for Rain Bird subsidiaries, including business partnership with corresponding management to impact results
- Advises management on accounting and control issues, ensuring adequate internal controls
- Manages the integration of international acquisitions into financial reporting
- Country by Country and Master file reporting requirements
- Collaboration with Corporate Controllership to lead the International Subsidiaries on the annual external audit requirements
- Other Ad hoc responsibilities and reporting as assigned
Qualifications
- Undergraduate Accounting or related degree
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience, in finance and accounting positions of increasing responsibility
- Minimum 5 years Management experience, leading a multi-location team is a plus
- Experience leading financial reporting in a global organization
- Experience leading external audit requirements
- Experience leading communications cross functionally, including Executive Leadership
- Professional Accounting Certification (CMA or CPA preferred)
