We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Warehouse Associate II to join our growing organization. This position will be part of our Distribution team that is responsible for the safe and secure execution of receiving, storage, retrieval, packaging and shipping of inventory and non-inventory items in an organized condition. In this role you will physically prepare company product, paperwork, and labels for shipment to customers.
What You'll Do:
- Contact carrier and schedule shipping or logistics
- Pick, package, and labels shipments according to the Distribution standard operating procedure (SOP) and work instructions.
- Execute material transactions in company ERP system and use carriers' computer systems to generate shipping labels, packing slip import/export documentation and manage document filing systems.
- Practices good housekeeping and keeps inventory neat, clean, and orderly.
- Verifies proper storage conditions of products and notifies Supervisor of any inventory issues that may arise such as Can't Finds, Expired Product, Breakage, and Out-Of-Stocks.
- Assist other team members, as needed, to ensure customer satisfaction including maintaining sufficient employee relations and teamwork.
- Deliver internal orders and incoming samples/Purchase orders to the laboratory.
- Pick, pack and ship correct items for customer orders by referencing part number, product description, pick location and pick quantity from computer generated work order.
- Interact with all departments and employees within the company to ensure material and supply needs are met in a positive, helpful fashion.
- Interact with and support all internal departments to meet their material needs.
- Perform all work assignments as trained to comply with all regulatory requirements and procedures.
- Keep areas neat and clean throughout the work day using a clean-as-you-go policy.
- Report any unsafe conditions to supervisor.
- Shipping - Verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, receives purchase orders after verification, Labels incoming materials, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with procurement directly to rectify damages and shortages
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
What We'll Expect From You:
- 3 + years' Receiving experience using ERP/SAP/WMS software
- 3 + years' Shipping experience using ERP/SAP/WMS software
- HS diploma or GED required.
- Written and spoken literacy in English is required.
- Basic math skills are required.
- Ability to follow directions and procedures, stay on schedule and adhere to standards.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to use computer-based tools such as email, Microsoft Word, ERP systems, and carrier supplied shipping systems.
- Ability to use basic material handling equipment.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems.
- Inventory management awareness
- Willingness to be trained in additional responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently in an organized manner while keeping supervisor informed of progress, issues, and resolutions.
- Ability to communicate with internal customers or departments via email or phone to resolve issues if encountered.
- Ability to lead task with minimal supervision, and able to lead in absence of warehouse lead.
- Able to work overtime on short notice
- Ability to use Microsoft Office software- Basic, work, Excel.
- Processes orders according to priority set by Supervisor/Group Lead in order to meet customer requirements.
- Above average understanding of inventory management
- Ability to give feedback or work in a team environment to create process improvements
- Working knowledge of Proforma invoice, Commercial invoice, Freight forwarders, AES, Bill of lading, Dangerous Goods, Hazmat shipping
- Understanding of kitting process-based on Job orders
Physical Demands:
This a physically active job that requires standing, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds continuously throughout a minimum 8 hour shift.
