Occupational Health Accounts Receivable (‘AR’) Manager

Leidos QTC Health Services is seeking an Occupational Health Accounts Receivable (‘AR’) Manager to oversee all functions of the client invoicing for all lines of business under the LQTC Occupational Health (‘Occ Health’) business stream. This role plans, organizes, and manages invoice and collection activities while managing the overall performance of the Billing department. This role promotes and maintains exceptional customer service while maximizing productivity and advancement of automation efforts in the department processes. This position will play a critical role in identifying and bridging technical system requirements with the IT and Operations departments in support of automation and artificial intelligence (‘AI’) process improvements supporting invoicing business requirements for Occupational Health lines of business.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary liaison to internal and external customers within the LQTC Occupational Health lines of business, inclusive of Senior Leaders and Finance Director, to resolve discrepancies, collection issues, support contract reviews for accurate billing practices ensuring contract compliance.
- Manage day-today accounts receivable cycles to include reviewing and finalizing invoicing to ensure timely and accurate reconciliation for month-end closing for 5+ active contracts within LQTC Occ Health business stream ensuring compliance with billing standards.
- Utilize power platform software such as SQL Server Management, PowerQuery, Python, etc. to analyze recurring AR trends and perform root-cause analysis to drive resolution of process issues. Must be able to maintain and build upon data tables and automation workflow.
- Create and implement strategies to drive efficiencies and process improvement to improve invoicing, collections, and reduce outstanding balances for greater organizational performance with automation and AI capabilities.
- Understand revenue, expenses, and accounts receivable accounting mechanics; identify and integrate best industry practices in AI for continuous process improvement for the Accounts Receivable operation.
- Perform departmental audits and communicate results and corrective action plans to senior leadership and customer(s) in support of contract requirements.
- Responsible for establishing, achieving, and maintaining departmental KPIs in support of LQTC Occ Health contracts; participate in development of organizational and contractual KPIs.
- Effectively manage the employee lifecycle to including recruitment (e.g. ‘hire and fire’), employee training, recognition and performance management, and employee career development. Provide day-today leadership through communication, coaching and mentoring, project management, and delegation.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Healthcare, Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience/combined education
- 7+ years of professional experience leading teams or projects
- Experience with data mining or programs such as Tableau and Tableau Prep, SQL Server Management, and SQL Server Reporting Services.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, strong emphasis in Expert/Advanced Excel skills (Formulas, Pivot Tables, Power Query).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a management (project or program) role required with experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, or Revenue cycle preferred
- Minimum 7 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing or revenue cycle management preferred
- Experience working in a healthcare or occupational health setting preferred
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives or projects. Experience working closely with IT teams, procurement, and product development in a finance business partner capacity. Demonstrated track record of driving automation and AI process improvements and delivering results preferred.
- Ability to effectively manage and lead accounts receivables for multiple contracts
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative and be self-motivated
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Possess excellent organizational and follow up skills, with a strong attention to detail
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and sustain high-performing teams, prioritize and delegate effectively
