The Software Engineer - Data Integration Infrastructure Team, Role

Join Qlik's dynamic and forward-thinking Cloud-focused Data Integration Infrastructure Team as a Software Engineer, where we're on a mission to bring data from over 50 sources into the Qlik product set, empowering users to make groundbreaking discoveries.

Contribute to Cloud-based Solutions: Work within a close-knit team to build and support Qlik’s Cloud-based Data Integration Infrastructure and Data Connectivity components, including Web Data and File Access.

Here’s how you’ll be making an impact: 

Component Development: Develop, test, and maintain components within the Data Integration Infrastructure Team. 

Issue Resolution: Collaborate with support engineers to analyze, identify, and resolve issues and bottlenecks at customer sites. 

Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet requirements, employing test-driven development practices, including unit tests. 

Documentation: Document specifications and other relevant technical content as directed. 

Communication and Collaboration: Communicate with engineering management and team leaders on task prioritization, scheduling, and coordination. Collaborate with team members on all aspects of the development process, including API and interface standards, user experience, architectural design, implementation, testing, and documentation. 

We’re looking for a teammate with: 

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistical Analysis, Mathematics, or related discipline is required. An advanced degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience working on a commercial software product, with at least 3 years as a hands-on developer.
• Mastery of C#/.NET Core is necessary, and a working knowledge of Java/Go is a plus.
• Technical experience in consuming or building APIs is a plus. Some experience using Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, and/or Microsoft Azure is preferred.
• Domain and technical experience in databases, data formats, protocols, and data access using technologies/APIs such as ODBC, JDBC, REST, XML, JSON, etc., is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Agile Experience: Experience with Agile development methods and iterative planning.
