The Director Global Marketing Programs Role

Qlik is seeking a bold, strategic, and operationally-savvy Director of Global Marketing Programs to lead the transformation of a critical function within our marketing organization. This role sits at the intersection of Product Marketing, Brand, Digital and Field Marketing, and is responsible for building and scaling a world-class global programs function that drives business outcomes through integrated, digital-first marketing execution.

You will be a senior, hands-on leader who understands how to turn strategy into reality- someone who sees the big picture but knows exactly how the pieces come together. A background in data and analytics is a strong plus, as is experience working across global teams and regional marketing structures.

What makes this role interesting?

This role is for a self-starter who wants to leave their imprint on an organization. You determine how to elevate global programs planning, execution, and measurement, bringing cohesion, speed, and purpose to the broader marketing organization. This role is for someone who balances partnership with discernment, a person able to diplomatically challenge ideas, reframe approaches, and make the right calls in ambiguous or high-stakes situations.

Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:

You will own the strategy and execution of global marketing programs that span demand generation campaigns, cross-functional initiatives, and brand activations. This will include:

  • Defining and leading the transformation of the marketing programs function- establishing clear roles, workflows, and KPIs to drive clarity, accountability, and speed across teams.
  • Serving as a strategic bridge between Product Marketing, Brand, Digital, and Field Marketing, ensuring alignment and orchestration across channels and stakeholders.
  • Developing integrated program frameworks that are digital-first, data-informed, and globally scalable, while accounting for local/regional needs.
  • Partnering closely with Marketing Ops and Analytics to define success metrics and drive ongoing measurement, learning, and optimization.
  • Managing and mentoring a high-performing team of program managers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and strategic thinking.
  • Bringing rigor and discipline to the execution process- balancing agility with operational excellence.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to senior marketing and cross-functional leaders, providing clarity, structure, and leadership across complex initiatives.
  • Being the person who helps others “get it done”- but not at the expense of what’s right for the business.

We’re looking for a teammate with:

  • 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with 5+ years in a senior programs or campaigns leadership role.
  • A proven track record of building and leading global marketing programs at scale within high-growth or enterprise organizations.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, campaign execution, and marketing technology.
  • Strategic thinking and strong operational chops- you’re just as comfortable in a strategic planning session as you are in a production schedule review.
  • Exceptional collaboration and with influence skills- able to lead through complexity and build alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Clear communication that can rally teams and drive decisions- firm when needed, but always in service of progress.
  • Experience working in matrixed global organizations and navigating between central and regional marketing teams.
  • A data-informed mindset with a passion for building scalable systems and processes.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, change, and building from the ground up.
  • Background in data or analytics-driven environments is a strong plus.
