Job Summary:

Q-Centrix is committed to leveraging data-driven insights to provide advanced capabilities for our partners in quality reporting, analysis, and improvement. As part of our continued growth, we’re seeking a talented, ambitious, Data Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to our data infrastructure and analytics capabilities.

Essential Functions:

  • Design, develop and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming clinical data from various sources.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, product management, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Optimize data processes for performance, reliability, and efficiency to ensure timely delivery of high-quality data for analytics and reporting purposes.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to data pipeline failures, data quality issues, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate new data sources, implement data model changes, and support ad-hoc data analysis requests.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trend in data engineering and recommend innovative solutions to enhance our data infrastructure.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team.

Required Abilities, Education, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years’ experience in a data engineering role.
  • Strong programming language skills such as Python, Java, or Scala for building data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Excellent SQL skills and experience working with relational database (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
  • 2 to 3 years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and their data services (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks).
  • 2 to 3 years of experience with AWS Data Services such as S3, Glue, EC2, and Athena.
  • 1 year of experience with Docker.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Firm understanding of data architecture, deployment, and optimization best practices.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience with ETL/data integration tools such as dbt, Informatica, or Airflow.
  • Experience with common Project Management methodologies including waterfall, agile, and project planning.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Abilities, Education and Skills:

  • AWS Certified Data Engineer.
  • 2+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing solutions with Amazon Redshift.

Work environment/Physical Demands: Continuous sitting and fine manipulation. 

Travel Requirements: 5%

The target salary range for this role is $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 plus an annual bonus targeted at 5% of the individual's annual salary. An individual’s salary within this range is based on multiple factors including but not limited to skills, experience, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational considerations. The annual bonus payout may be higher or lower than target, dependent on individual and company performance and is considered variable pay
