The Opportunity
As a Deals - Valuation Intern, you will engage in financial transactions and stakeholder engagement, contributing to the valuation of business deals. This role offers a unique chance to immerse yourself in the dynamic world of deal valuation, where you will support teams in analyzing market trends and financial regulations. As an Intern, you will focus on learning and gaining exposure to PwC's practices, participating in projects, and conducting research to support the team's success. You will have the opportunity to observe professional work environments and contribute to the team's goals through basic tasks and project management.
In this role at PwC, you will be part of a client support team, working on financial modeling and presenting financial reports. You will develop your skills in project budgeting and regulatory reporting, while gaining insights into market trends and financial need analysis. This position allows you to apply a learning mindset, take ownership of your development, and appreciate diverse perspectives. Responsibilities
- Supporting teams in conducting business valuations and financial advising for client projects
- Participating in the analysis of deal structures and M&A strategy to enhance value creation
- Assisting with balance sheet analysis and inventory valuation to provide accurate financial insights
- Engaging in project management tasks to ensure timely completion of valuation assignments
- Utilizing Alteryx automation platform for efficient data processing and analysis
- Observing market trends and industry trend analysis to inform strategic thinking and decision-making
- Contributing to the preparation of regulatory reporting and financial modeling for compliance purposes
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather information and present financial reports effectively
- Learning and applying financial transaction principles to support client engagements
- Developing skills in capital modeling and investment valuation for financial reporting purposes
What You Must Have
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree
- Client service intern positions are entry-level roles intended for job seekers who are in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application. Winter internships typically occur during the spring semester preceding the student's final year of school Summer internships typically take place during the summer preceding the student's final year of school

- Preference for one of the following fields of study: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Quantitative Finance, or Engineering
- Preference for a 3.3 overall GPA
- Demonstrating proficiency in Alteryx for data automation

The salary range for this position is: $29.25 - $48.00. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
