Sr. Manager, International Trade Compliance - PVH Corp.

Bridgewater, NJ

Position Summary:
The Sr. Manager - International Trade Compliance will provide strategic leadership in the management of PVH's Compliance audit operations programs, including Special Trade Programs (FTA, Duty Deductions for air and ocean shipments, First Sale etc). This position will provide guidance, monitor, assess risk and oversee implementation of practices to ensure regulatory trade compliance. Manage and oversee post entry regulatory audit analysis and resolution. The individual in this role will drive the ongoing development of our highly effective audit programs, analytics, & internal controls in partnership with our Customs resolution team.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities of the Job:

  • Lead, develop, assess, and guide the team responsible for PVH's trade compliance audit program that complies with US & CA regulations

  • Oversee regulatory audits, responses to U.S. Customs requests, CF 28s, Notices of Action, Protests, PEA's, entry corrections, manage key compliance indicators
  • Effectively communicate compliance requirements both internally and externally including setting strategic priorities and objectives
  • Ensure all post entry activity is monitored and resolved in accordance with PVH customs compliance standards, regulatory requirements and ensure timely submission to U.S. Customs and associated tracking through final closure
  • Expert-level knowledge of all customs trade areas including but not limited to HTS classification, Valuation, Free Trade Agreements, and country of origin determination to identify issues and resolve time-sensitive challenges
  • Conduct periodic audits consistent with company policy to ensure customs entry accuracy, timely closure of post-entry corrections, and completeness of all record-keeping requirements
  • Use standard methodologies and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve Customs process and compliance utilizing creativity and innovation, finding solutions to complex issues
  • Assess Customs operational and compliance risks while collaborating with other senior managers and executives on mitigation strategies
  • Position is inclusive of Strategizing best ways to reach highest levels of compliance
  • Review/Develop/Implement Trade Compliance program direct with CBP - Trusted trader
  • Review all additional opportunities with TR and implement new programs
  • Consistently making key decisions as to whether or not amendments on needed on customs filings
  • Developing policies on thresholds
  • Qualifications & Experience:
    • Broad knowledge & skills - typically 5-8 years of related experience.
    • Strong working knowledge and experience with customs regulations and processes for both import and export and audit practices
    • Strength in textiles and apparel
    • Management/supervisory experience.
    Education: Bachelor's degree required
