About the role.

The AVP, Senior Territory Manager will be a key member of the California team, specializing in business development and producer management, reporting to the SVP, CA Regional Executive. The primary goal of this position is to develop and execute business development plans and partner with key stakeholders in the territory to drive PURE's profitable growth. The ideal candidate must live in Northern California and have 5+ years of experience.

What you'll do.

  • Serve as the primary business development partner for a defined set of brokers in the Northern California territory.
  • Conduct regular sales trips to broker partners in Northern California in order to:
    • Implement and Execute defined strategies and plans to drive profitable growth

  • Educate brokers on PURE strategy in CA and the CA insurance marketplace
  • Train brokers on PURE's quoting system and online tools
  • Measure progress against established KPI's, and growth and profit metrics
  • Rehabilitate and/or terminate underperforming brokers, as needed, while also identifying new opportunities to work with new target agencies
  • Build relationships and positive awareness of PURE among important existing stakeholders/COI's and advance new partnerships, alliances, and programs to grow the PURE membership "in new ways"
  • Establish personal relationships with a network of influential PURE promoters (members/policyholders).
  • Actively participate and collaborate with key internal stakeholders (Underwriting, Product, Claims, Risk) in the development of territory growth and profit plan and oversee its successful execution.

  • What we're looking for.
    • 5+ YOE in personal lines property and casualty insurance experience in sales, marketing, or underwriting, with a strong desire for the candidate to have knowledge of the CA insurance marketplace and established relationships with brokers in Northern California.
    • A Bachelor's degree is required.
    • Experience working with high-net-worth clients preferred.
    • Intrinsic curiosity.
    • Comfort level working directly with wealth advisors and other COI's.
    • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Agile learner who can quickly absorb information and apply it to current business situations.
    • Demonstrate ability to influence, lead, and inspire others.

    • Frequent travel within assigned territory.
    • Some overnight travel may be required.

    The base salary for this role can range from $130k-$165k based on a full-time work schedule. An individual's ultimate compensation will vary depending on job-related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience.
