Senior Escrow Officer (PGP Title)

Schaumburg, IL

JOB SUMMARY:
Primary responsibility is to perform tasks related to settlement operations in the closing of real estate transactions and Support the Branch Manager as required with managerial duties and responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as liaison between all parties to the transaction including homebuyer, mortgage, accounting and other areas within the Title & Settlement Process
  • Handle all aspects of the settlement transactions including preparation and approval of Settlement Statements, preparation and coordination of deeds, verify accuracy of loan documents, insurance documentation, seller statements, and contract or sales agreement
  • Obtain signatures for closing transactions, explain all documents executed as needed, and facilitate questions/answers between parties to the transaction
  • Follow Escrow Accounting Business Practice Guidelines which includes but not limited to collection and disbursement of funds while complying States Good Funds Statutes.
  • Review escrow quality assurance reports and resolve to outstanding issues to ensure compliance with required business policy
  • Ensure timely and accurate flow of information and documentation from settlement team to Recording and Accounting departments
  • Support of Branch Manager as required with managerial duties and responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to workflow processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Licensing requirements as required by State/Federal Agencies
  • Notary Public license requirements as required by State

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • Related Functional Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years Escrow/Settlement Officer experience
  • Customer Service skills in dealing with all homebuyer types and demographics
  • Ability to multi-task and handle fast-paced and demanding work environment
  • Strong follow up skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to adjust well to change
  • Capacity to work in a multi- location team environment
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting demands & meet department needs with available resources
  • Efficient in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel. One Note and Softpro is a plus
