Description:
We are seeking a hands-on Scrum Master to join Pulte Financial Services (PFS) agile software development team which is focused on rapidly designing, developing, and delivering high-quality digital solutions to improve our Customer's and Employee's experience throughout the home financing lifecycle. As a Scrum Master, you will be a part of our Agile Coaching Team in driving Agile practices to support two agile teams in building out enterprise solutions to support the home financing lifecycle. You will help the Product Owner in their efforts to manage the backlog and guide the team while facilitating a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope. This role requires exceptional communication skills, patience, and partnership development with product managers, agile team members, shared service managers and other Scrum Masters.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee agile teams to ensure sprint backlogs are well managed, commitments are reasonable, stories are swarmed, sprint goals are predictably delivered, quality and performance expectations are met.
  • Ensure agile teams understand the business, product vision, stories, and sprint goals; develop and negotiate team working agreements, effective user stories, acceptance criteria, and definition of done.
  • Oversee agile teams in self-organization/management, cross-functional collaboration, team dynamics and interpersonal skills.
  • Protect agile teams from interruptions, manage risks, and remove impediments.
  • Perform ongoing assessments of teams, programs, to support continuous improvement; help teams continuously reflect and improve, becoming more effective in their roles and increasing their predictability, teamwork, and practices.
  • Help develop, lead and/or facilitate workshops around story mapping/breakdown, user & persona creation, value-stream mapping, product road-mapping, project inception, launch, etc.
  • Collaborate with people across wide levels and roles to educate on agile principles, best practices, and tools to implement for improved workflows and successful product deliverables.
  • Manage agile product ceremonies and activities including daily stand-up meetings, product and sprint backlog refinement, sprint reviews, agile board management and retrospectives.
  • Work with the product managers/product owners to develop release plans and ensure product backlogs are well-refined, prioritized, deep (2-3 sprints) and visible.
  • Assist in dependency management, cross-team test and delivery coordination, and release management/support for agile teams.
  • Mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Agile Teams, and Leadership on agile best practices.

Experience and Skills Required:
  • Professional Scrum Master or Certified Scrum Master credential preferred.
  • 3+ years of Scrum/Agile experience with excellent working knowledge of agile frameworks, ceremonies, processes, roles, and responsibilities.
  • 3+ years of experience collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver quantifiable business value required; experience in financial services preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to build rapport, share findings, and explain tradeoffs to technical and nontechnical audiences alike.
  • Ability to read communication styles of team members from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
  • Group facilitation skills with a demonstrated ability for constructively navigating conflict. Facilitate conflict resolution while keeping a positive spin on team learning.
  • Proficient at developing strong relationships that foster the spirit of innovation, improvement, and collaborative solutions and developments.
  • Enabling continuous improvement through documentation of leading practices, training, capacity management, and rules of engagement.
  • Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices, including performance product/value measurements.
  • Excellent leadership and people skills, working with various teams, influencing, and getting buy-ins in various situations, effectively manage relationships (up, down, across).
  • Path to Agility agile framework certification, experience or familiarity preferred.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, MS Teams, MS SharePoint.
  • Organized, persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Budgeted Salary Range: $118k - $128k annually depending on experience. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus based on the successful completion of defined performance objectives.
