Escrow Officer (PGP Title)

Austin, TX

This position is 100% in office/on-site in Austin, Texas.

JOB SUMMARY:
Primary responsibility for performing tasks related to settlement operations retail transactions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Act as liaison between all parties to the transaction including homebuyer, mortgage, accounting and other areas within the Title & Escrow Process
  • Handle all aspects of the settlement transactions including preparation and approval of Settlement Statements, preparation and coordination of deeds, verify accuracy of loan documents, insurance documentation, seller statements, and contract or sales agreement
  • Obtain signatures for closing transactions, explain all documents executed as needed, and facilitate questions/answers between parties to the transaction
  • Follow Escrow Accounting Business Practice Guidelines which includes and not limited to collection and disbursement of funds while complying with required State and Federal Good Funds statutes
  • Review escrow quality assurance reports and resolve any outstanding issues to ensure compliance with required business policy
  • Ensure timely and accurate flow of information and documentation from settlement team to Recording and Accounting Departments
  • Correct and resolve any post-closing issues that arise
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Escrow Licensing requirements as required by State/Federal Agencies
  • Notary Public license requirements as required by State

REQUIRED EXPEREINCE:
  • Related Functional Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years Escrow Officer/Assistant Escrow Officer experience
  • Customer Service skills in dealing with all homebuyer types and demographics
  • Ability to multi-task and handle fast paced and demanding work environment
  • Strong follow up skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to adjust well to change
  • Capacity to work in a multi-location team environment
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting demands & meet department needs with available resources
  • Efficient in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, and Excel. OneNote and SoftPro is a plus
  • Team Player: Works well as a member of a group
  • Self-Starter: Inspired to perform without outside help
  • Goal Completion: Inspired to perform well by the completion of objectives
