JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for developing, producing and modifying new and existing products for PulteGroup using both manual and AutoCAD techniques. Work directly with Senior Design staff, Zone Product Directors and Zone Product managers in preparation and development of conceptual sketches.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use standardized tools, processes, and design guidelines to create efficient, cost effective solutions to marketing needs.
  • Develop preliminary drawings from hand sketches into CAD based software using information supplied by senior design staff.
  • Resolve issues within project scope and escalate as needed to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Maintain constant dialogue with team regarding status and progress of projects.
  • Complete design changes agreed upon by operating committee.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in design, Construction or equivalent work experience

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Related Functional Experience: Minimum 5-8 years progressive experience in residential design.
  • Proven cost effective design talent and keen eye for detail
  • Thorough knowledge of residential construction, general code requirements and design preferences in various markets
  • Proficient use and application of CAD drafting software and related computer operations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative problem solver
