Benefits Analyst

JOB SUMMARY:

Provide administrative and analytical support to the Company group benefit programs (group health, dental, vision, 401(k), short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, travel and accident plan, and corporate wellness). including financial reconciliations, analysis and technical support. Will also provide excellent customer service and serve as liaison between vendors and employees.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews utilization, fees, claims experience and service of all benefits plans and prepare regular reports
  • Provides technical research; plan interpretation and educational support to HR Team and employee population as required
  • Assist with all facets of the Employee Wellness program administration and communication
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for all leave inquiries, educating employees and managers on the leave process and related policies.
  • Develops, generates and presents reports on a regular basis to analyze leave data and trends.
  • Serve in support role with the 401k program management, including audits, testing and reporting
  • Assure timeliness and accuracy of required filings & regulatory compliance. Work effectively to make sure the plans run smoothly
  • Investigate data discrepancies and provide information in non-routine situations
  • Reconcile benefit accounts including processing of monthly billing and ensuring financial accounts are maintained
  • Ensure confidentiality of all medical information, preventing release of information to unauthorized parties
  • Manage various processes (i.e., integrity of data, dependent/life verification, etc.) related to benefits software system (online enrollment partner) and provide proactive outreach to plan participants to review participant data, plan decision making and data discrepancy resolution
  • First point of contact for initial participant issue resolution with benefit administrator
  • Assist with administration & management of the benefit plan renewal process
  • Assist with organizational compliance with applicable federal and state regulations (COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, ERISA, SECTION 125)
  • Aid with data compilation and verification of data accuracy for Total Reward Statements
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: (work related, tools/equipment, software, etc.)

  • Related Functional Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software programs
  • Familiarity with payroll and benefits software systems (i.e., ADP, Workday, bswift)
  • Sound proficiency in all mathematic calculations and reasoning
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to develop and manage relationships with various constituencies

REQUIRED EDUCATION: (degree, licenses, certifications, etc.)

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree required
