Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer - Warehouse Modernization

The Publix Technology Warehouse Modernization team is seeking a highly analytical Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer who will be responsible for all quality assurance activities, including developing and executing automation scripts, manual testing and providing leadership within the QA team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience developing automation test scripts for UI and backend systems, demonstrate leadership qualities, and a desire to continuously learn.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead team of QA analysts consisting of automation testers and manual testers
  • Define and communicate testing plans, estimates, and risks to the product owner, dev lead and/or manager
  • Collaborate with product owner and team members to build an automation testing framework for UI and backend applications
  • Participate in requirements analysis, design, and product backlog refinement meetings to establish test effort estimates
  • Work with Scrum teams to create and validate acceptance criteria for product backlog items
  • Build and execute test plans, test suites, and test cases within Microsoft Azure DevOps
  • Ensure all quality assurance and testing activities are conducted throughout the life cycle and that the results from these activities are verified and documented


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years' experience in software testing and quality assurance
  • 1+ years' experience developing automation test scripts for UI and backend applications, using industry standard object-oriented programming languages
  • 1+ years' experience leading team of SQA analysts to plan, develop and execute testing to deliver large enterprise solutions
  • 1+ years' experience working in an agile environment
  • 1+ years' experience using Azure DevOps for all testing related activities and reporting
  • 1+ years' experience creating Test Plans, Test Schedules, and Test Summaries


Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years' experience software testing and quality assurance experience
  • 4+ years' experience developing automation test scripts for UI and backend applications, using industry standard object-oriented programming languages
  • 4+ years' experience leading team of SQA analysts to plan, develop and execute testing to deliver large enterprise solutions
  • 2+ years' experience with performance testing on API, backend, and UI
  • 2+ years' experience with automation testing technologies such as: Selenium, Cucumber, PowerShell, RestSharp, xUnit or nUnit, JMeter, Telerik.
  • 2+ years' experience in: Azure DevOps, Test-driven development, and CI/CD pipeline (YAML)
  • 2+ years' experience with development languages such as C#.Net
  • 4+ year's experience with .SQL query skills to write and execute queries to review/validate test results
  • 2+ years' experience testing warehousing systems
  • Continued education and certifications in testing and various technical disciplines

Year End Bonus

As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month's extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
