The Global Technology organization at Prudential is seeking a VP, ILI Technology Lead. This highly visible role will be one of several Leads responsible for building, influencing, and driving the adoption of common digital technology platforms that enables business priorities and achieves Prudential's Priority Experiences and Journeys.

The team is looking for a digital leader with industry experience: successful business sense, using technology trends and standard processes to solve Prudential's business problems, deep experience with digital products / services, to drive and own business relationships, a strategic and technical attitude as well as the ability to influence national & international capability build.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and amplify all members of the ILI Simplified Solutions Technology agile teams.
  • Partner with the business to deliver proficient solutions that realizes the business objectives and key results.
  • Work with domain experts and other partners to perform business analysis, conduct customer research, and evaluate technical solutions to drive current and future platform vision and roadmaps.
  • Work across the organization and with business partners to resolve/communicate key issues, critical decisions, and priorities and manage expectations and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure the team's initiatives are aligned with strategy to deliver business value.
  • Analyze the feasibility of and developing requirements to support existing platforms and initiate creative digital capabilities.
  • Plan and support business process to identify go to market strategies for new products and services.
  • Define and drive user experience and technical design concepts, partnering with the Global Technology teams, Enterprise Architecture, Data Science, and other groups across Prudential enterprise.
  • Focus on enabling differentiated customer experiences and self-service capabilities.
  • Conduct driven market analysis and maintain awareness of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
  • Several years of technology development and leadership experiences in global financial services, technology or consulting industries.
  • Several years' experience working on any aspect of digital products / services.
  • Direct experience managing and leading agile teams, and cross collaborating with other technology organizations within Prudential, such as CTO, CDO, etc. in a global environment.
  • Organized, detail-oriented individual who is capable of self-managing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence outcomes with multiple business units and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing business priorities and a strong work ethic.
  • Endlessly curious in how emerging digital and technology trends can translate into excellent customer experiences.
  • Data-driven mindset, using quantitative tools and analyzing unstructured feedback to inform the development of solutions.
  • General understanding of globally operated Cloud Services/Platforms (preferably AWS).
  • Extensive experience in building enterprise sale digital platform using micro-service & micro-frontend architecture.
  • Experience in building scalable, resilient, and fault tolerant applications in the hybrid cloud infrastructure
  • Good understanding of Java, JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, Web Components.
  • Working knowledge of implementing automated DevOps process using tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, etc.
  • Understanding of building loosely coupled API services platforms using tools like Java
  • Understanding of building native mobile apps as well as responsive Web applications
  • Experience in Agile work environment
  • Strong bias for data-driven decision-making

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $195,100.00 to $263,900.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
