Prudential Retirement Strategies' Internal Sales team is seeking a highly motivated Director of Inbound Sales to join our fast paced, industry-leading sales team. The person in this role will be responsible for the Inbound Sales leaders and our team of Inbound Sales Consultants and Sales Associates. Additionally, the Director will help set the strategic direction for the Internal Sales organization, provide innovative leadership and design processes to improve our recruiting and talent advancement capabilities.

The person in this role will also own the strategy and execution of multiple high-visibility objectives that impact the team's ability to achieve sales results, including budget & expense management, training & talent advancement programming, key event planning & execution and other tactical projects as needed. Ideal candidates will possess a consistent record of success in leadership, talent development, achieving sales results, vibrant communication skills and a successful collaboration mentality.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the recruiting, coaching and development of a team of Inbound Sales managers, Inbound Sales Consultants and Sales Associates
  • Partner with the Director of Internal Sales to develop and implement the Internal Sales talent acquisition strategy to recruit, develop and retain a talented, diverse sales team
  • Effectively anticipate, plan and maintain appropriate staff levels to meet the needs of our advisors
  • Partner with various team across Prudential, including but not limited to Marketing, Product, Training, New Business, Service, Technology and Business Intelligence
  • Supervise and enhance the productivity and effectiveness of the Inbound Sales team, leveraging performance management processes when necessary
  • Execute full supervisory responsibilities for Inbound Sales managers
  • Organizational expense budget planning and oversight
  • Key event planning and execution
  • Tactical projects to support the business strategy

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • Minimum of 5+ year experience in sales with a consistent track record of success
  • Prior management experience required and a track record of increasing role responsibilities
  • Demonstrated leadership characteristics including cultivating a team culture, building relationships and influencing performance
  • Proven investment acumen and knowledge of consultative sales approach
  • Excellent coaching, development and training skills
  • Exceptional professional presence and written & presentation skills
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of the Financial Services industry and products a plus
  • FINRA Series 6/7, 63/66, 24/26 and state Life and Health license required or ability to obtain licenses within a specific time frame
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Advanced education (MBA, CFP, CFA, CIMA, etc) a plus

Employee Work Arrangment

Employee Work Arrangement for this role is Hybrid. The employee will work a combination of remotely and in-office a minimum of 2 days per week. Employee will also be required to attend or go into the office for any mandatory onsite/offsite meetings/trainings. Employee Work Arrangement is the businesses decision and can be adjusted or changed for business reasons at any time.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $127,500.00 to $172,500.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
