Internal Communications Specialist

We’re looking for an Internal Communications Specialist to join Procore’s Product & Technology department.  In this role, you’ll partner with leadership and individual contributors across the Product & Technology org to support the conception, creation, editing and dissemination of communications for individual and project related messages. This role helps to develop corporate communications that range from recurring announcements to impactful and critical communications surrounding strategy, change management and human resources topics. This position reports into the Director, Product & Technology Strategy and can be based remotely in the U.S., or in any one of our offices in the U.S.  We’re looking for someone to join us immediately. 

What you’ll do: 

• Consults with internal business partners to determine communication needs.
• Exercises judgment and advises business partners regarding message tone, format, timing, vehicle, and audience segment to ensure the best and most effective approach for communication. 
• Provides external communications support for select leaders.
• Manages Product & Technology newsletter and provides editorial oversight
• Maintains editorial calendar to track and prioritize Product & Technology communications
• Creates templates, resources, and messaging guides for managers
• Channel and tool management for departmental internal communications
• Supports senior leaders with content creation, copy editing, and graphic design
• Coordinates communication project activities for internal business partners on a variety of projects. 
• Develops and monitors communications project plans, ensuring timely distribution of materials for routine announcements via Product & Technology town halls, emails, Slack, AMAs, and videos.
• Reviews and consolidates metric reporting for assessment by senior leaders to ensure alignment of communications materials and their effectiveness against departmental goals/strategies. 
• Oversees measurement through focus groups and surveys and extracts and presents insights with recommendations to leadership.
• Continues to build knowledge of the industry and communications discipline
• Develops knowledge of new approaches to communication via new tools.

What we’re looking for

• 2+ years of total relevant communications experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
• A strategic thinker with a talent for articulating ideas and presenting work to internal partners
• High level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive information with care   
• Excellent verbal and written communication 
• Adept at writing for a large, diverse audience 
• Experience with various communication tools and platforms (email, verbal, slack, presentations, survey tools, visual content, etc)
