Director of UX, Platform Experience

Procore is looking for a Director of UX, Platform Experience to connect the built world on a single scalable global platform that is language, currency, and zone agnostic and tailored to our customers’ core needs. In this role, you’ll oversee the creation of connected experiences that cover and complete the full construction lifecycle by bringing together the right tools with a clear focus on having them interconnect and share data.

This position will report to our VP of UX and has the opportunity to work remotely from any U.S location or flexibly from our Carpinteria, California headquarters or Austin, Texas office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do:

• Partner with Product and Engineering to execute the platform vision and strategy to connect everyone in construction on a global platform, from small specialty contractors in the field to General Contractors and owners alike
• Build working relationships with cross-functional partners across Product, Technology, Customer Success, Marketing, and Corporate Strategy teams to create a platform that others can build on
• Work closely with other UX leaders to strengthen design processes and culture and facilitate a design system centered approach to building experiences in every area of our organization
• Mentor and coach Designers, giving and receiving feedback to improve outcomes, foster learning, and create the right circumstances and conditions for design to deliver value and for individuals to create meaningful, career-defining work

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s or master’s preferred in graphic design, HCI, UX, a related area of study, or equivalent work experience
• 15+ years of experience building and delivering successful B2B or Consumer products at scale
• Deep-rooted knowledge and experience as an expert practitioner of multiple design disciplines, including service design, user experience design, interaction design, information architecture, user interface design, visual design, research, and others
• Ability to seamlessly flip between the language of business and design, setting meaningful goals and objectives for your team while advocating for critical design decisions to company leadership
• History of diving into the analytics of your work to help justify your hypothesis and relentlessly focused on data and optimization while also being empathic and deeply passionate about connecting with our current and future customers
• Ability to recognize great design work and inspire others to achieve higher levels of excellence
• Strong example of a servant leader, deploying your team in a way that shares decision making, encourages ownership and autonomy and drives engagement
• Must have experience with modern interface design tooling, including but not limited to Figma, Principle, Flinto, etc
