POLITICO is seeking a dynamic Trainee to join our bustling Events Marketing team in Brussels, starting in July for a 6-month term.
As a vital member of our team, you'll dive headfirst into the exciting world of events marketing, where you'll play a pivotal role in crafting, executing, and evaluating marketing strategies tailored specifically to our large range of events.
In this role, you will gain first-hand experience with the key marketing aspects to drive audience recruitment and engagement, manage marketing campaigns through our promotional channels, and report on all our marketing efforts to make our events successful. Your journey will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams spanning Events, Summits, and Sales, offering you a holistic understanding of POLITICO's operations.

What You'll Do
- Collaborate with the team to strategize and execute high-impact marketing campaigns for our events, leveraging data-driven insights to continuously refine and enhance our approach.
- Take charge of coordinating marketing initiatives across various channels, including email, digital platforms, and social media, ensuring maximum visibility and engagement among our target audiences.
- Dive deep into marketing analytics, meticulously analyzing campaign performance metrics, conversion rates, and traffic patterns to glean actionable insights that inform future marketing strategies.
- Play an active role in managing and enriching POLITICO's audience database, contributing to the ongoing growth and refinement of our audience segmentation strategies.
- Collaborate closely with both the marketing and Live (summits & events) teams to make our events very successful leading to a growing lists of prospects and potential premium users.
What You'll Need
- Recently graduated with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
- A keen interest in marketing as well as in politics and EU affairs
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Creativity, innovative thinking and adaptability
- Fluent command of English, written and spoken. Knowledge of other languages, such as French and/or German, is a plus

Important traineeship information
This position is available for young graduates looking to gain practical experience and kickstart their career ("traineeship").
