POLITICO is looking for a Data Research working student (between 10 - 15 hours per week) to support maintaining and updating Poll of Polls, starting as soon as possible.
POLITICO Europe is a pioneering and growing media company that covers the politics, policy and personalities of the European Union, with journalists in Brussels, London, Paris and Berlin. You will join POLITICO's Research & Analysis Division and be involved in providing up to date polling aggregation through POLITICO's Poll of Polls.
We are looking for a diligent, motivated, and data-savvy student with a keen interest in European politics. You should both be excited about vote polling and have an eye for detail and the ability to collect, organize, and to help analysing data.

What You'll Do
- quality control of manual input into our Poll of Polls model
- maintenance of the Poll of Polls model
- support in developing the Poll of Polls model
Further, we provide the opportunity to build on Poll of Polls and be involved in the Research & Analysis Division's work.
What You'll Need
- passion for political polls and elections - prior experience is desirable
- experience with R
- advanced Bachelor's student or Master's student in a relevant field of study
- experience with statistics
- Diligence and self-directed, proactive work style
- Fluency in English or German; any other European language is an asset
- Ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize
- For administrative reasons, enrollment in a German University is required.
