About the role

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with investors, including those from the family office, endowments and foundations (E&F), and pension communities.
  • Lead the development of investor-facing materials, such as case studies, diligence responses, and other supporting collateral.
  • Deliver regular updates on pipeline progress, industry trends, and the capital-raising landscape.
  • Partner closely with internal Investor Operations and Legal teams to drive deals from term sheet to closing.
  • Enhance and continuously refine the onboarding process to ensure a seamless experience for investors.
  • Elevate Point’s reputation as a leading partner among investment collaborators.
  • Work closely with colleagues on all capital formation projects, investor operations, and other priority initiatives.

Your responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Capital Formation and other senior team members to enhance and diversify the investor base.
  • Organize and actively participate in calls, meetings, and events with existing and potential clients.
  • Utilize the firm's CRM system to track and manage outreach activity effectively.
  • Maintain and update the quarterly sales plan and regularly monitor and report on fundraising goals.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on activity, pipeline, and feedback related to products and fundraising efforts.
  • Oversee outbound marketing activities directed towards investors.
  • Represent Point at investor conferences and events to promote the firm.
  • Enhance and refine investor-facing materials to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Offer analysis, create presentations, and prepare write-ups as required to support fundraising and investor relations efforts.

About you

  • Possess 2-5 years of experience in a client-facing financial services role.
  • Demonstrate proven relationship-building skills and a track record of working with investors.
  • Adept experience using CRM systems.
  • Experience collaborating with internal teams, such as finance, legal, and marketing.
  • Ability to handle investor inquiries and concerns during challenging situations.
  • Capability to educate investors about the company's performance, strategy, and outlook.
  • Keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in investor communications and reports.
  • Aptitude for identifying and resolving issues related to investor relations.
  • Skill in engaging investors through various channels, including meetings, calls, and events.
  • Familiarity with financial concepts, such as financial reporting, analysis, and valuation.
  • Capability to build and maintain strong relationships with investors and financial analysts.
  • Proficiency in creating and delivering compelling presentations to investors and stakeholders.
  • Capacity to analyze financial data, market trends, and investor feedback.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities efficiently.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with investors, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Familiarity with investor relations software, CRM systems, and financial databases.
  • Ability to conduct market research and competitor analysis to support investor relations strategies.
  • Capability to prepare and distribute investor reports, presentations, and updates.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and investor preferences.

Fully paid parental leave

  • Point will true-up wages from state-applicable PFL earnings so that the employee’s total gross pay will be equivalent to 100% of their regular base pay, as well as two weeks of fully paid leave to be available after exhaustion of state PFL. 
  • For employees in states without Paid Family Leave, Point will provide up to 8 weeks of paid parental leave. 
  • In addition, all employees will receive 4 weeks of fully paid transition time. For four weeks after returning from parental leave, and following the use of all other paid leave benefits, you may work part-time, meaning two or three days per week, and receive 100% of regular base pay.

  • We provide 401K retirement plans for employees as well as guaranteed life insurance and short- and long-term disability coverage. Full-time employees have the opportunity to take ownership in the company through equity options.

Compensation at Point will be determined by skills, experience, and geographic location. Point has identified the expected annual base salary range for roles at this level based on market by tiers (Region | Location | Market Range):

  • Tier 1 | San Francisco Bay Area, New York, Los Angeles, & Seattle | $117,000 - 150,000
  • Tier 2 | Chicago, Austin, Denver, Boston, Washington DC, San Diego | $99,500 - 134,600
  • Tier 3 | All other US metro areas | $93,500 - 126,500

This does not include any other potential components of the compensation package, including equity, benefits, and perks outlined above. At the launch of each position, we benchmark compensation to the appropriate role and level utilizing competitive compensation data from various data sources as references. At the offer stage, we use the signal we received from our interviews coupled with your experience, location, and other job-related factors to determine final compensation.
