This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager's discretion

The opportunity lies within PNC's Regulatory Reporting department, specifically the Financial Data Submissions team which is responsible for filing the Federal Reserve FR Y14Q/M data submissions.

This role is an opportunity to navigate the multi-faceted regulatory landscape while partnering with experienced technology partners and diverse line of business contacts within PNC. You will partner closely with various areas within Finance, Lines of Business, Technology, and Treasury.

Responsibilities will grow and change over time, but duties and responsibilities will include the following:

• Be responsible for the preparation of one or more FR Y14Q/M data submissions.
• Perform and evidence controls.
• Perform root cause analysis for data anomalies and transaction testing failures.
• Define and document configuration changes needed in the regulatory reporting software.
• Perform testing as needed for configuration changes, software changes, upstream application changes, etc.
• Identify opportunities for automation, define and document business requirements, perform testing.
• Special projects.
• Communicate information to Senior Management.
• Internal/External Audit, SOX, and Risk Management compliance.

Additionally, you will contribute to the continued automation of regulatory reporting which includes: 1) using SQL and Teradata technology to query, identify and analyze data for automation opportunities, 2) using SAS to streamline and maintain existing reporting processes awaiting automation in the Axiom system, and 3) defining scope of activities, requirements definition, process review, impact assessment and operational streamlining.

Job Description

  • Leverages complex analytical tools to provide business and technical expertise for the analytics process, tools and useful applications across multiple functions or business units to create data driven solutions.
  • Consulting to clients on tool and strategy implementation and monitoring, statistical scoring, business intelligence, data quality, and analytical product / solution development.
  • Determining the optimal analytic approach and supporting development, implementation and enhancements.
  • Conceptualizing, developing and continuously optimizing analytical solution for operations and executive management to enable data driven decision making.
  • Analyze results and make recommendations for key business partners and senior management or communicate conclusions from complex analytical solutions to a wide range of audiences.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
