Job Description:

Pluralsight is looking for a strategic Principal Product Manager - Integrations & API focus, who will own the vision for how we empower developers at our partnering companies with innovative tools, products, and self-service experiences. They will lead our space for Platform integrations and our external facing APIs to define and deliver best-in-market product offerings and collaborate with our internal teams to understand customer needs. In this role, you will use your product management skills and technical expertise to develop a roadmap to define the work our APIs and integration development teams deliver on.

Our Principal PM will be a champion of our API portal and have real-world experience leading a product that is technical in nature! Our team builds the integrations page and developer tooling that enables our integrations across all of our B2B customers and plays a pivotal role at Pluralsight. Duties/responsibilities

  • Drive the strategic direction of our Integrations page with external LMS and LXP providers and our Developer Portal as a one-stop shop for our APIs
  • Manage our license management tools and connectors and drive our analytics / BI tooling to promote better analytics tracking and trend analysis for customers
  • Lead the technical development of our APIs and be able to translate technical concepts for our businesses and lead out the roadmap accordingly for integrations
  • Conduct industry and competitive analysis and other market research to understand best-in-class practices to identify business opportunities.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with our top 10 integrated providers and define GTM strategies to tap into untapped market potential
  • Drive and foster relationships with Revenue and business development to expand our market offerings and presence and bring a commercial mindset to integrations
  • Manage every stage of the product development life-cycle from ideation through development, GTM delivery and launch
  • Drive communication and collaboration across the organization for best practices for APIs and integrations
  • Empower customers with data feeds and BI integrations
  • Become an expert on our APIs and integrations, develop a deep understanding of how, where, and why data is generated and what is provided to our end customers
  • Develop strong success metrics and drive a metrics-driven culture within the Platform Mgmt product team

Minimum qualifications/skills

  • 5+ years of API and technical product management experience
  • Deep knowledge and demonstrated application of product management methodologies and best practices, and a strong foundation of user-centered design.
  • Experience working with cross-functional Agile teams comprised of Engineers and Product Designers
  • Experience strategizing product direction with inputs like competitive analysis, VoC, business reviews and business goals
  • Experience collaborating with GTM teams and an understanding of their drivers for successful cross functional initiatives
  • Strong experience with any product management and development tooling e.g. JIRA, Trello, Google Analytics, Amplitude, Pendo etc.

Preferred qualifications/skills

  • Experience dealing with internal and external team members spread across the world
  • Experience as a mentor or team lead preferred

Education and experience requirements

  • Requires a minimum of 12 years of related or equivalent experience; or 8+ years and an advanced degree.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed in an office (or home office) environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Sedentary work. Repetitive work. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
