At Pinterest, Trust & Safety is not just checking a box; it is a critical part of our value prop to users and to advertisers. We're looking for an experienced, strategic Trust & Safety leader to help us define our vision of being a safe space on the internet - and deliver on that vision everyday with a high-performing cross functional team. And you'll do this at the scale of one of the world's largest user generated content platforms.
What you'll do:
- Drive company-level strategy, product roadmap, and day-to-day execution for Trust & Safety in partnership with your cross-functional leadership team.
- This includes Identity, Compliance, Experience Safety, Content Safety, and Tools & Platform.
- Serve as a thought leader, drawing on your deep domain expertise in Trust & Safety - including understanding of user needs and business goals, evolving legal regulations, and the broader competitive landscape.
- Directly manage ~15 PMs, including managers, and cross functionally lead ~150 people. Mentor the existing team while continuing to add great new talent to the organization.
What we're looking for:
- T&S Domain expertise: You'll need to hit the ground running to drive T&S strategy and execution for one of the world's largest platforms. Your historical expertise will be critical.
- Trusted collaborator: In this role, you'll partner closely with technical teams, Policy, Legal, and more. You'll need to build deep and trusted relationships with these teams and work together in service of key shared strategic priorities.
- Strategic thinker: You'll need to understand the landscape in which we're operating and make frequent tradeoffs and decisions around where to invest time and resources.
- Skilled communicator: You'll communicate your strategy and plans to Executive audiences and to the company more broadly, and need the ability to communicate clearly and convincingly with a wide range of audiences.
- Strong people leader: You'll lead an existing team of talented PMs and will drive recruiting efforts to add more top talent to the team.
- Technical strength: You'll partner closely with Engineering teams working with a wide variety of technologies, particularly Machine Learning for content safety.
- A driver of results: Ultimately, you'll need to produce significant, measurable results against some of the company's key goals.
