Your challenge

This role is responsible for the creation of meaningful information and compelling, actionable business insights leveraging existing/ new Healthcare data sources, employing advanced analytics, modelling and AI techniques. The insights should drive business decisions and contribute to the growth of Philips. Uses latest analytical techniques such as machine learning, deep learning and natural language processing. Keeps abreast of technical developments and practices in own field through literature, courses/trainings, technical contacts, and competitive environment. Applies agile software development methods as a member of agile teams. All to ensure great digital solutions are developed for our customers.

Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field + 6 years' experience OR Master's Degree in relevant field + 3 years relevant experience OR Doctorate (with relevant experience during doctorate).
  • Fluent in SQL programming and at least a basic-to-intermediate proficiency at a scripting language (preferably Python and/or R) with a strong drive to improve.
  • Strong knowledge of retrospective, observational study design and methods (e.g. survival analyses, comparative effectiveness, etc.) with healthcare data, preferably CMS datasets.
  • Experience working with subject matter experts and translating clinical/business questions into actionable analyses using fit-for-purpose data.
You're the right fit if:
  • 3+ years' experience in conducting observational, retrospective research preferably on CMS claims data as well as other healthcare claims, electronic health records, or hospital administrative datasets.
  • Experience with medical knowledge representation like ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS
  • Experience with feature engineering from medical data and/or medical informatics.
  • Experience with software engineering skills and best practices or strong desire to learn design, development, testing, version control, pull requests, code review, etc.
  • Experience with AWS cloud-computing.
  • Some knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and clinical medicine
  • Prior experience working at a medical device or life science company.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry.

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
