Financial Clearance Representative
Job Description
As a Financial Clearance Representative, you will assist in revenue generation by handling incoming enrollments from our external customers (practices), verifying benefits, obtaining authorizations, and obtaining all necessary billing information required so the patient receives the correct device in a timely manner.
Your role:
- Performing insurance verification for all services via online websites or manual phone calls to the payers, including both eligibility and full benefits and estimation of the patient responsibility based on the insurance's contracted rate and the patient's insurance benefits.
- Selecting the appropriate insurance in the billing system to ensure the claim is being sent to the correct payer to obtain prompt and accurate payments.
- Initiating prior authorization requests to practices and insurance carriers and follow-up with the insurance or practice via email, fax or phone until resolved.
- Initiate referral requests with the referring or PCP based on the patient's insurance requirements and follow-up on these requests until resolved.
- Processing department emails and faxes being sent to the internal processing queue and entering all patient account contact into the patient's file in a timely and accurate manner.
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with Account Executives (communicating with them for priority handling of patients) and all internal customers, including Patient Services (Inbound and Outbound).

- You've acquired 1+ years of experience in medical billing (preferred).
- Your skills include experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook); Ability to perform data entry with minimal guidance and minimal errors.
- You have a high school diploma or GED (required).
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position .
- You're a strong communicator (verbal and written) and are comfortable with communicating at all levels within the organization.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position is $ 19.60 - 33.60, hourly. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
