Design Engineer - Plymouth, MN
As a design engineer you will be responsible for mechanical design of components, sub-assemblies, and final product. You will create all design and manufacturing documentation including but not limited to blueprint designs, all labels, packaging, processes, procedures, bill of materials and instructions for use for proposed products utilizing engineering and design methods and techniques to present finished designs.
Your role:
- Design of components, sub-assemblies, and final products.
- Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.
- Provide documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, bill of materials, or specifications to tell others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used.
- Manage all engineering and process changes through the change control procedures.
- Analyze information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems as they relate to product development.
- Evaluate engineering data; examine engineering documents for completeness or accuracy. Progress raw design and create finished blueprints ready for transmission to internal and external sources.
- Prepare technical reports or related documentation; read technical drawings.
- Participate in corrective and preventative action plans as needed.
- This role provides the opportunity in the areas of conducting research, keeping up with technology, systems, processes, and taking on new challenges with projects, long or short-term assignments.

- You've acquired 5+ years of experience in understanding of safety standards and environmental impact of a design, ability to present in front of stakeholders and senior leadership, and a demonstrated knowledge of medical device development requirements and ISO standards.
- Your skills include being adept at seeing the big picture, understanding how various components interact, and ensuring that these interactions result in a cohesive and functional design. Project management skills, coupled with an understanding of Agile practices. Skills in cost estimation, risk assessment, and quality control are critical.
- Bachelor's Degree - preferred in mechanical engineering

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Plymouth, MN .
