Job Description
Advanced Manufacturing Engineer 1 will be responsible for the development and improvement of processes, tools and equipment of the Manufacturing systems, leading to predictable, reliable, stable and efficient production processes.
In this role, you are responsible for:
- Executing product development process activities
- Ensuring adherence to the applicable process for product introductions, qualifications, and release
- Initiating Design for Lean Manufacturing in PDP (Product development) processes
- Process and equipment capability that meets design requirements
- Applying lean manufacturing principles

- Manufacturing routing Master data towards release
- Executing the processes and standards in adherence to compliance with safety, regulatory and environmental requirements as well as local laws, Philips General Business principles and other policies
- Basic Operational Excellence (including Lean Manufacturing, problem solving etc.)
- Basic design for manufacturing, assembly, and testability
- Driving Root cause investigation by data and information gathering and formulating a problem statement
You're the right fit if you have a customer-first attitude and the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in applicable Engineering discipline, and/or demonstrated progressive experience working in operations
- Min 2 years of previous manufacturing engineering experience
- Ability to provide technical support for the manufacturing area in the execution of world class operational performance.
- Possessing a strong working knowledge of manufacturing, including the underlying theories and concepts of manufacturing, quality, and product engineering
- Working knowledge of environmental, health, safety and quality regulations
- Knowledge of Six Sigma is a plus
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to be an effective communicator

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to San Diego, CA .
