What You Will Achieve

Working with a dynamic team of Logistics and Supply Chain experts, you will play a critical role in planning and managing the efficient flow of products and services through the Pfizer supply chain cycle. You will ensure that the products arrive on time and within acceptable quality parameters meeting the desired marketing and financial objectives. Through your extensive knowledge in logistics management, you will guide the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes and system to meet customer requirements.

As a Senior Manager, you will be setting the objectives for multiple projects in your Operating Unit. Your managerial and technical skills will help in guiding the team members. You will manage performance of direct and indirect reports and support Operating Unit objectives through goal setting, assessment, coaching and performance evaluation of team members. Your understanding of the external marketplace and customer requirements will facilitate in instituting knowledge sharing practices in your team and outside. You shall be relied on to manage operational activities that support the goals of the division and set direction for its success.

Through your expertise and extensive knowledge, you will be able to foster a culture that promotes innovation and thrives on doing better for patients and healthcare.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Set objectives for and manage multiple projects within the Operating Unit.
  • Develop innovative, advanced new concepts that improve processes or products across own and related disciplines.
  • Conduct business relevant Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process review with Stakeholders for effective decision making support and action.
  • Drive Global Supply Chain (GSC) management system and continuously improve performance levels in line with established objectives.
  • Provide appropriate performance metrics and tune and direct organizational performance.
  • Establish and actively manage strong performance based relationships with local Business Unit (BU) leadership, clearly negotiating and defining service level expectations for that market per business unit.
  • Contribute efforts to efficient capital management and maintain the best inventory today and for the future.
  • Manage logistics related Intercompany Operations strategic initiatives, continuous process/cost improvement, operational implementation and process governance across all internal and external networks.
  • Develop organizational strategy on validation planning for transportation systems also supporting new product launches.
  • Develop a talent base of high performing professionals and managers to deliver on business unit and strategic projects.
  • Create a motivated, committed and engaged project team that fosters innovation and professional development.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of experience.
  • Good people management experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills and strong competency with tools.

Nice-to-Have

  • Master's degree and relevant pharmaceutical experience.
  • Ability to lead and/or work with diverse cross functional teams.
  • Strategic thinking, problem solving and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Competence in data analysis and insight development.
