This Tax Manager role is split between Federal and state responsibilities. Federal responsibilities will include preparation and review of the consolidated PepsiCo, Inc. & Affiliates Form 1120, including consolidating division schedules and review of the overall consolidated return. State responsibilities will include state audit project management, state compliance consolidation, state provision to return, and state provision and forecasting. This role will give the candidate the opportunity to hone and expand technical skills in all areas of the tax life cycle.

Responsibilities

Federal

Compliance

  • Preparation of U.S. consolidated PepsiCo, Inc. & Affiliates tax return.
  • Compile and review division workpapers for key compliance schedules and deliverables to international compliance team.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing transfer pricing documentation and analysis.
  • Prepare/review quarterly Federal estimated tax payments.
  • Provide support for federal income tax audits.

Provision

  • Quarterly and annual cash tax analysis, forecasting for transfer pricing, and consolidated R&D.
  • Review of excise tax accrual on periodic basis.

State



Compliance

  • Preparation/review of Unitary state and local income tax returns.
  • Provide support for managing state income tax compliance process.
  • Manage and provide support for state income tax audit defense.
  • Assist in tax planning and research projects.

Provision

  • Aid in the forecast of the effective and cash tax rates for planning and quarterly reporting.
  • Aid in the preparation / review of quarterly and year-end income tax provision (ASC 740 reporting).

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA or BS in Accounting or Finance, Masters in Tax or Accounting a plus.
  • 5+ years corporate income tax experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interact with cross-functional teams and develop strong relationships.
  • Deliver results on tight deadlines.
  • Great team spirit and work ethic.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $102,800 - $172,100 based on a full-time schedule.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.
