Overview

The purpose of the Sr. Solution Architect is to analyze business initiatives and provide the solution architecture for Commerce IT as part of the FLNA Sales Transformation program. Additionally, this role is critical to build internal PepsiCo knowledge and provide cutting edge architecture solution for PFNA.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide state of the art commerce platforms solution architecture for PepsiCo's s PFNA business.
  • Guide delivery teams utilizing knowledge of cloud native principles, modern software development stack (Java based Microservices, Event driven programming, PHP, Node.js, React.js, React Native, HTML5, REST/SOAP APIs,) and modern software development process (lean, Agile, SAFE, DevOps, CI/CD)
  • This is a lead position that will requiring working with many layers of IT and the broader organization and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Solution architecture across multiple teams for the B2B/B2C Commerce area and support the software life cycle from Strategic Design through implementation and deployment ensuring adherence to PepsiCo and industry best practices.
  • Analyze and review business, functional and technical requirements; drive solution decision making and ensure alignment with Strategic Design framework.
  • Collaborate with and mentor team members through architecture/design review, knowledge sharing and ensure adherence to continuous improvement practices as required to meet quality/time-to-market imperatives.
  • Establish partnership across the PepsiCo organization by driving discussions with a diverse group of stakeholders including Enterprise Architects, Sector Delivery. Teams and Business Leadership and Users. Leverage knowledge of best practices for enterprise functions such as security, performance, development, and application governance to become a trusted advisor across PepsiCo.
  • Manage and guide work of third party resources as well as globally distributed employee teams.
  • Pro-actively identify and manage risk areas. Troubleshoot and drive issues through to completion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or similar field, Masters preferred.
  • 10+ years of software industry experience.
  • 3+ years of solution architecture experience on the eCommerce platform.
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter. Proven results leading teams and direct leadership in crafting solutions that meet or exceed customer needs.
  • Experience as a Senior Solution architect in a mid to large sized matrixed organization.
  • Experience with architecture design patterns, systems integration, microservices, messaging patterns, streaming solution, Azure technologies such as Event Hub, Event Grid, Service Bus, etc.
  • Experience with Agile implementation methodologies.
  • Demonstrable ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration.
  • Ability to guide PepsiCo and Systems Integrator resources in rationalizing and deploying new technologies that drive increased business value.
  • A desire to continually study new technologies and functionality, as well as be involved in projects that push the capabilities of existing technologies.
  • Experience within Consumer Goods and knowledge of common go-to-market models.
  • Be able to learn new skills and capabilities - and be able to provide solution independently and provide guidance to development team.
