Overview

The Senior Manager - Regional Communications is part of the team responsible for developing and executing strategic communications initiatives that support key business priorities at a local level in critical U.S. markets across Foods and Beverages. This role in particular will focus on elevating the company's regional social impact programs and strengthen relationships with multicultural communities, particularly Hispanic audiences. This role plays a critical part in amplifying the organization's community partnerships, enhancing brand reputation, and ensuring culturally relevant storytelling across internal and external channels.

  • Lead the development and implementation of internal and external communications strategies for key regional community programs, such as Southern Dallas Thrives, Chicago PREP, and the United Way Centennial. Collaborate closely with program leads and community partners to ensure consistent, compelling, and mission-aligned messaging.

Strategic Communications Leadership:

  • Oversee all communications efforts supporting regional social impact work, ensuring alignment with the company's brand voice, values, and the unique priorities of each community. Provide strategic counsel to internal stakeholders to amplify impact and visibility.

Multicultural and Hispanic Marketing Localization:

  • Tailor messaging to effectively engage Hispanic audiences, ensuring cultural relevance and resonance. Partner with internal marketing teams and external agencies to localize national campaigns for regional Hispanic markets.

Spanish-Language Media Engagement:

  • Manage and cultivate relationships with Spanish-language media outlets, serving as a trusted liaison. Provide strategic guidance and best practices to local teams on effective outreach and engagement with Hispanic consumers and media.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $118,700 - $198,800.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Spanish required.
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University, preferably with focus on Communications/Journalism/PR.
  • 8+ years of PR experience managing brand and community communications at large corporate entity or agency with large corporate clients (fast-moving consumer goods category preferred).
  • Individual contributor with ability to work cross-functionally and manage agency resources.
  • Deep expertise in key communications disciplines like media relations, strategy development, executive visibility, messaging and crisis communications.
  • Understanding of corporate reputation matters relevant to PepsiCo including labor, sustainability, nutrition, R&D, manufacturing, growth and innovation and proven ability to serve as counselor to senior executives.
  • Strong media relations skills including strategic planning, managing complex issues, mitigating negative stories and the ability to storymine.
  • Expertise in strategic influencer and key opinion leader communications.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills - including presentations and media materials.
  • Occasional travel required.
